Antenatal Care

pregnant3Midwives are attached to the practice and share responsibility for ante and post natal care with the doctors. Patients usually see their own doctor when they first become pregnant. Arrangements will then be made for a booking appointment with the Midwives who will then advise on all aspects of the pregnancy. Patients can, if they wish, contact the Midwives directly, to make the booking appointment themselves.

The Midwives can be contacted by telephoning the Medical Centre during surgery hours. All pregnant women will be given information on how to contact the Midwives outside of surgery hours and who to contact in an emergency.
